Guest Services Coordinator

Position: Guest Services Coordinator  (Part-Time 20hrs/week)            
Reports to: Melissa Hoogenraad - Director of Community Engagement and Experience

Overall Purpose and Responsibilities:
How we welcome, connect and follow-up with guests is crucial to the health and growth of VantagePoint Church. The Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for developing best practices for our guest experience that includes recruiting, training and managing our Guest Services team. The Guest Services Coordinator is someone who embraces our Leadership Values, has a strong ability to cast vision, model hospitality, and recruit high capacity leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide vision and strategy for an incredible, outside-the-box Guest Experience
  • Constantly evaluate our approach, pursuing innovative new ideas for reaching guests. 
  • Develop a culture of surprising and delighting guests through “wow” moments of next-level service.  
  • Develop leaders to build, equip, and develop a team of volunteers to own every element of the Guest Services ministry, from parking cars to finding seats (street to seat).  
Ministry Tasks:
  • Meet weekly with Team Leads to ensure continual improvement of the ministry.
  • Recruit and train new team members to help keep our leadership pipeline full.
  • Plan and organize ongoing training to improve the effectiveness of the team.
  • Promote teamwork through fellowship opportunities. 
  • Attend weekly staff meetings (currently Tuesday at 1:00pm).
  • Ensure the scheduling of Guest Services and Connection Point team members to provide a quality experience for each of our services (to be completed no later than Wednesday morning).
  • Oversee the reporting of weekly attendance for the church.
  • Manage the check-in team and computers
  • Manage the Weekly Team Huddle sheet
  • Order the supplies necessary for Guest Services operations. 
  • Ensure that setup is done properly every Sunday (1 hour prior to 1st service).
